Private house restoration in the Tunis Medina / interior design
Located within the historic fabric of the Medina of Tunis, this project involves the renovation of a corner building and its transformation into a contemporary residence and artist’s studio. The design reinterprets key features of traditional Arabic architecture, including carefully proportioned openings and a central courtyard, fostering a sequence of intimate, inward-orientated spaces protected from the surrounding urban environment.
Developed over two levels, the house combines residential and creative functions. A secondary entrance provides independent access to the artist’s studio, allowing the owner to receive visitors and work separately from the private living areas.
